Cake Care
All of our cakes have been baked fresh. They are made using only the best ingredients, as well as with simple syrup which adds moisture. There is no shortening or preservatives in our cakes, as they are butter based. It is important to follow these simple tips to ensure your cake is well cared for and is optimally delicious when served.
- Always serve your cake room temperature, Never serve it cold. Remove it from refrigeration for at least two hours prior to service.
- Always refrigerate your cake as our icing contains butter, fruits, cream cheese, or a combination of items.
- If you have other items for your party in your fridge, you may want to wrap the box with plastic wrap as butter tends to absorb odors from other foods like garlic.
- Cakes serve an excess of the amount of servings we rate them for. Store extra cake wrapped in plastic film.
- When cutting the cake, dip a knife into hot running water for clean cuts.
- 12" and 16" cakes can be cut in two concentric circles for the same wedge type pieces.
- During humid days, fondant may condense water, simply allow the cake to dry outside the refrigerator for two hours prior to service and the water will dry.
- All of our cakes are made in the same facility and with the same equipment so if there are allergy issues, we always suggest that you error on the side of caution.
